Penguins defenseman Ian Cole has re-signed a 3 year deal with the team which carries a yearly Cap hit of $2.1 million.
Cole is 26 years old and was acquired last season on the trade deadline in exchange for Robert Bortuzzo.
Looking at his Hero chart below you will see that paying him only $2.1 million a year is an excellent deal for the Penguins. They are getting someone who has the ability to fill in at top pairing if ever a situation is called upon for him to do so.
It’s good to see the Penguins locking up someone like Cole who will absolutely help the Penguins throughout this season and the following two.
Thanks for reading and continue checking back here through out the summer for acquisitions and signings by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
